Happy New Year!

How have your first couple of days been? What are your New Year’s resolutions?

I recently came across this article about the most popular resolutions:

  • exercise to get in shape (19.7%)
  • diet to lose weight (18.3%)
  • save money (14.8%)
  • eat healthier in general (11.9%)
  • something for self care (5.5%)

I am not surprised by that – we tend to forget ourselves over the course of a day, so it’s really not astonishing how ignorant we become during a whole year. I try to keep my resolutions realistic and try to challenge myself while at the same time stopping of giving myself a hard time. So, here they are, my resolutions:

  • exercise to get in shape
  • diet to lose weight
  • save money
  • eat healthier in general
  • something for self care

Hahaha. Seriously, I have been so busy diving into this year, my resolutions are no resolutions, but things I want to enforce or keep on doing. Yes I guess I should call them “plans for 2021” instead of New Year’s resolutions. My plans will change and shift and adapt and shrink and blow up and I split them up in professional, personal and family plans. Currently, my professional plans are working on my other sweet little book, getting the second Tree book ready for the final editions, learning photoshop and formatting. My personal plans are taking more time for Yoga again, exploring audiobooks, reducing my screen time as well as finding more time for my hobbies again. Our family plans are finding a new home this summer and Maria Kondo’ing our lives again. I guess that kind of goes hand in hand.
